Welcome
The Evolutionary Demography Society will be holding its 4th Annual meeting on October 2-5 at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville VA. This meeting is the premier annual opportunity to share scientific research, and to participate in related skills workshops, related to how demographic processes influence evolution and how evolution shapes the demographic properties of organisms across the tree of life. We especially welcome those who will be attending the EvoDemo Society meeting for the first time.
All participants are invited to give short talks and/or posters. We will also have a limited number of longer talks. For a confirmed list of keynote speakers and their titles see here. Registration information can be found on the links here where you can sign up to give a presentation. Hotel information can be found on the link here. Social activities will include an opening reception on Sunday evening. There are also local vineyards, historical attractions and hiking opportunities (see links) for those who arrive early or stay a few days after the meeting. Prizes: The EvoDemo Society is composed of a large proportion of energetic and innovative early career researchers. To honor their involvement in the Society and to highlight their excellence in research we will present the first EvoDemoS Early Career Award for both the best talk and the best poster. We are also running a competition for the design of a new logo for the EvoDemo Society. More information on these awards can be found here.
